FUNERAL MASS: 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL with Rev. Aloysius Okey Ndeanaefo officiating. Burial will follow in Shire Cemetery, rural Oblong, IL.

Ira L. Inboden, 75, Oblong, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Heritage Health in Robinson, IL.
Ira was born on August 17, 1939 in Crawford County, IL. He was the son of Byrl “Pat” Inboden and Dora (Waggoner) Inboden. On September 20, 1958 he married the love of his life Phyllis M. Huchel and she survives.
Ira retired from Labor Local 1280 in 1995. For 55 years he worked at many jobs including a Lime Business, Country Store in Hardinville, IL, welder, truck driver, heavy equipment operator and logging. He served his country in the United State Air Force. Ira was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Robinson, IL. His hobbies and interests were woodworking; watching birds and animals while he was enjoying being in the woods; camping and mushroom hunting. Ira enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ira is survived by his wife Phyllis Inboden of Oblong, IL; three sons and daughters-in-law Gary W. and Terry Inboden of Robinson, IL, Douglas L. and Kelly Inboden of Oblong, IL and Rick J. Inboden of Oblong, IL; two daughters and sons-in-law Regina “Jeannie” and David Veach of Hardinville, IL and Annette L. and Lindell Mitchell of Flat Rock, IL; 12 grandchildren and spouses: Jared and Ashley Veach, Whitney and Drew Spade, Desirae Inboden and fiancé Ben Rodgers, Ashley Inboden, Tyler Mitchell, Dusty Inboden and fiancé Amber Goodwin, Tiffany Veach, Taylor Inboden, Dillon Inboden and fiancé Taylor Van Schoyck, Logan Mitchell, Tanner Inboden, and Tucker Inboden; 5 great-grandchildren: Gracie Inboden, Allie Spade, Colsten Spade, Rowynn Inboden and Anna Inboden; one brother and sister-in-law George and Mable Inboden of Robinson, IL; two sisters and brothers-in-law Vivian and Norman Tracy of Robinson, IL and Martha and Donald Sisil of Hardinville, IL; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and Ira’s best friend “Harry”.
Preceding Ira in death were his parents; four brothers Fred, Max, Byrl and Wilbur Inboden; two sisters Virginia Cooper and Marilyn Dix and a brother-in-law Greg Huchel.
